New Coronavirus Cases Spike at Cramped Migrant Detention Centers

Detention centers where 30,000 immigrants are currently being held in southern states like Texas and Arizona are seeing new cases of the coronavirus skyrocket due to the cramped living conditions in which the detainees are being held.

Take a look at these pictures…

At least 206 detainees have tested positive in 10 detention centers in Texas alone … and many of these cases can be traced back to immigration transfers, as detainees are being moved to and from different facilities during the pandemic.

New coronavirus cases at an Arizona detention center have jumped more than 400 percent in the past two weeks, accounting for 50 percent of the growth in coronavirus cases among detained migrants nationwide.

These immigrants’ lives matter and we want everyone to be aware of this urgent crisis because it will get much worse in the coming days if nothing is done.
