Horse That Was Beaten After Collapsing on the Street Is Rescued

A horse that was beaten by its owner after it collapsed on the street due to being overworked has been rescued.

Take a look at this horrific video from our friends at Jakarta Animal Aid Network (JAAN) …

This type of abuse happens all the time around the world and it’s unacceptable!

The good news is that, although JAAN isn’t able to take in another horse, they were able to find him and offer help.

They named the horse Stanley and the poor animal was malnourished and in poor physical condition. JAAN will make sure that Stanley gets proper food and is provided with medical attention.

Here are some video updates after the rescue …

Stanley will stay at a small stable for a couple of weeks to rest and regain his strength.

They’re not sure where he’ll go after his treatment but the animal organization is committed to finding the best solution for him and they’ll make sure he’s never abused or hungry again!

At Karmagawa and SaveTheReef we are heartbroken that Stanley — and others like him — have had to go through such torture. No animal deserves to be forced to work so hard that they collapse. We’re so happy that there are caring people like those at JAAN that work so hard to provide help and hope to these animals.
