A 6-year-old boy named Bridger Walker put himself in danger to protect his sister from a vicious dog attack.

The incident happened on July 9 when a dog ran to attack a little girl.

Bridger, the girl’s brother, jumped in front of the dog, which attacked him instead.

Bridger was injured so badly by the bites that he was brought to the hospital where he received 90 stitches on his face.

Please, share my nephew’s story so that it gets as much exposure as it can. We know that our little hero would love some words of encouragement from his favorite heroes. And instead of any GoFundme, Bridger’s family has asked that anyone wishing to help out financially can, instead, donate to @mission_22 or @wwp as everyone’s kindness has meant so much to us!” We need more heroes like Bridger & his family who prioritize helping each other + raising money for charity, please share this incredible story! #bridgerstrong #bravery #familyfirst❤️ #karmagawa

Despite being bitten, the young hero somehow was able to lead his younger sister away by taking her hand and helping her hide from the dog.

“If someone had to die, I thought it should be me,” Bridger later said, according to a post by his aunt.

Bridger was treated by a plastic surgeon and is now resting at home.

In a later post, the aunt stated the family feels no resentment towards the dog owners … and in fact, the incident has only brought both of the parties closer together.

At Karmagawa, we’re so proud of little Bridger’s display of extreme brotherly love and we think he’s a true superhero that deserves to be recognized.

The family says Anne Hathaway, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland, Hugh Jackman, Zachary Levi, the Russo brothers and Robbie Amell are among many who have reached out to them to praise the brave and mighty Bridger.

And instead of any GoFundMe, Bridger’s family has asked that anyone wishing to help out financially can donate to Mission 22 or Wounded Warrior Project … and you know we’re all about supporting great charities.

Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for more important stories you need to know and ways you can help — and be sure to share the info with your family, friends, and followers. The more people who know, the more we can all help.
