Shocking footage of beachgoers throwing stones at a baby seal in Kazakhstan has gone viral.
The incident happened in the city of Aktau, which is located on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea.
The playful seal pup became curious and approached the group only to be met with violence … causing the innocent animal to become afraid and confused.
You can see the seal swimming frantically to avoid the shower of boulders and stones.
The video was captured by an unnamed local resident and the offenders were believed to be tourists.
The video got attention after Kazakh model Yevgeniya Mukasheva shared the video on her Instagram page.
In a separate incident but also in Kazakhstan, another seal was attacked even more viciously. This was only days later from the previous one.
The seal was swimming in the Caspian Sea in the village of Kuryk when men launched an attack that knocked the seal unconscious … all so that children could take pictures with it.
The incident was captured on video and shows the men clubbing the defenseless animal with sticks and boulders after it came close to shore.
People gathered around to watch and no one stood in defense of the poor animal.
After the seal lost consciousness, they pulled it out of the water and took pictures.
When they were done, they threw the motionless body back into the sea but it’s unknown if the seal survived.
This has to STOP!
